Watch it work
Real screen recordings of Lucian 1.0.22 on a Mac. Nothing is staged: the prompt you see is the prompt that was typed, and the result is what came back.
Demo 1 · Files
Make a folder, get a link to it
What was typed
make me a folder on my desktop for my tax stuff
What Lucian did
- 1Creates the folder with a sensible name
- 2Replies in one line, not a paragraph
- 3Hands you a chip that opens it in Finder
Why it is safe
Creating a folder never overwrites anything. If a folder with that name already existed, Lucian would say so and offer to use it instead.
Demo 2 · Batch moves, one approval
Eleven files moved with a single card
What was typed
there are some photos sitting on my desktop, put them somewhere
What Lucian did
- 1Lists the desktop first and says what it found: 5 JPGs and 6 screenshots
- 2Plans one batch: make a Photos folder, move everything into it
- 3Shows a single File changes card; you approve once and it runs
Why it is safe
Moving is reversible and nothing is deleted. The whole batch is previewed as one plan and nothing on disk changes until you approve it.
Demo 3 · Safe delete
Delete means Trash, never rm
What was typed
delete the old screenshots on my desktop
What Lucian did
- 1Lists the desktop and reports what matched: 6 screenshots, dated January through June
- 2Asks once for the whole step ("Approved all 6 actions") instead of six separate prompts
- 3Moves them to the Trash, and says so in the reply
Why it is safe
Lucian never permanently deletes files on its own. Delete always means the macOS Trash, so you can put everything back from Finder.
Demo 4 · Media
Captions for a video, from one sentence
What was typed
add captions to the team update video on my desktop
What Lucian did
- 1Finds the video on the desktop and confirms it has the media tools
- 2Transcribes the audio locally and writes team update.srt next to the original
- 3Offers to burn the captions into a copy of the video as a second step
Why it is safe
The original video is never modified. New files are created next to it and linked in the reply so you can open them in Finder.
