Talk to your computer
in normal words.

Lucian is a desktop assistant that lives on your Mac or PC. Say what you want the way you would say it to a person. It makes the folder, finds the file, cleans up the mess, writes the captions, and shows you exactly what it did.

macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows. Use your own AI keys or let Lucian handle it.

Real screen recording of Lucian 1.0.22. No scripted UI.

Why Lucian

Four things you will notice in the first five minutes.

Safe by default

Deletes go to the Trash. Changes ask first.

When you say "delete the old screenshots", Lucian lists what it found, asks once for the whole step, and moves them to the Trash. Overwrites, moves, and risky terminal commands show a card before anything happens, and file edits come with an Undo. Nothing silently disappears.

Shows its work

Results you can click, not paragraphs you have to read.

Make a folder and you get a chip that opens it in Finder. Write a file and the path is a link. Caption a video and the new file is right there. Lucian answers like a person and hands you the thing.

Done. Your tax folder is on the Desktop.

Asks when it should

Vague request? Lucian offers choices instead of guessing.

"Put my photos somewhere" gets you a short list of sensible options, each one a button. Clear requests just run. You stay in control without being interrogated.

Where should they go?

Built for big jobs

Parallel helpers for research and comparisons.

Ask it to compare three apps and Lucian spins up helpers that each dig into one, right inside the chat, with their own timers and a stop button. Then it merges what they found into one straight answer.

Things people say to it

No commands to learn. No menus to find.

These are real requests, typed the way people actually type them. Lucian figures out the rest.

Everyday

  • make me a folder for my tax stuff
  • put these photos somewhere sensible
  • delete the old screenshots on my desktop
  • add captions to this video
  • find the PDF I downloaded last week about the lease
  • rename these files so they are in order
  • open Spotify and play my focus playlist
  • what is taking up space on this computer

When you want more

  • compare Notion, Obsidian, and Apple Notes for me
  • research the three best USB-C hubs under $60 and give me a table
  • set up a new Python project with tests and a README
  • every weekday at 8, summarize what changed in this folder
  • watch my Downloads folder and sort anything that lands there
  • burn these subtitles into the video and export for Instagram
Getting started

Up and running in a few minutes.

1

Pick a plan

Bring your own AI keys for $20 a month, or choose a hosted plan and Lucian handles the models. Sign in, subscribe, done.

2

Install and pair

Download for macOS or Windows from your dashboard. The setup wizard asks for the permissions it needs and pairs the app to your account with a short code.

3

Start talking

Type or speak. Lucian does the task on your machine, shows you what it did, and asks before anything risky.

Your computer, the way you would explain it to a friend.

Plans start at $20 a month with your own keys. Hosted plans include the models so there is nothing to set up.
